Welcome to Side Hustle Hangout!

Happy you stopped by. This is my place of planning, accountability, working through my progress, testing new tools to stay organized, and trying new hustles as I work towards my goals. Hustlin’ is hard work, but worth it when you meet your goals in the end.

What is your Side Hustle Goal?

What’s your goal, why are you working? Just as anything you do in life you should have a plan. I heard a someone say a goal without a plan is a dream. If you don’t plan, how do you know when you accomplish your goal?

My Side Hustle goal is to pay of my student Loans. My student loans are the equivalent of a mortgage and feel like the grim reaper hanging over my head. I have to get rid of them. It’s become more serious to me as I get older. My second Side Hustle goal is to pay off my mortgage. I am toying around with the idea of selling my house and floating between my parents’ house and my dudes house. But I don’t know if that is a good idea yet. After that, my goals include saving, traveling, and investing.

Once you have that goal identified, find the work you want to do. At Side Hustle Hang Out I’ll give you details about various side hustles I’ve tried, what looks interesting, what I have not tried and why, what I won’t try, and ways to evaluate each opportunity.

How to work a Side Hustle?

When you’re working a Side Hustle, for most it means you have a full time job. Staying organized is important to keep track of what work you did, for whom, when, and when you will get paid. Based on the type of work this could include keeping records of photos, receipts, narratives of events, and mileage. Some jobs won’t pay you if you can’t provide the necessary details requested during a job. Take the time to review the work after you complete the job. Take notes about what you did, what you felt worked, what didn’t work, and what you should do for next time. If you try something new and you don’t like it, make note of it and find something else to do. There are more than enough Side Hustle job opportunities to try.

Side Hustling can be great profitable work. Take the time to identify your goals, make a plan to achieve them, document your work, and review your completed jobs. Hustling can be fun and rewarding if you put in the time and work hard to achieve your goals.
